Ms. Megha Kumar is a transport and climate policy expert with 13 years of experience in transport decarbonization, air quality improvement, and climate action. She served as a consultant with the World Bank and GFA Consulting (for GIZ GmbH), on energy and emissions modelling, sustainable mobility policies, and the intersection of climate and transport in South Asia.
With a strong background in sustainability strategy, thought leadership, and policy advisory, Megha has engaged extensively with governments, multilaterals, and philanthropic organizations. She has led and contributed to multiple research initiatives, focusing on clean mobility, emissions reduction pathways, and just transitions in transport.
In addition to her professional work, Megha is a doctoral researcher at McGill University, where she investigates equity in public transport in Global South cities. Her research emphasizes inclusive, sustainable urban mobility solutions to address social and environmental challenges.
Megha has authored and co-authored several policy reports, technical studies, and knowledge products on climate resilience, low-carbon transport, and air quality management.
